Theatrical & Directors Cut on same HD disc?

Are we going to now see both cuts of the film on the same HD format? Something I thought we would get on DVD. I've reached a point where I can't stand some of these Special Ultimate Directors Cut Editions! I want the original theatrical cut included on every HD version disc or at least included on another disc.

I doubt it'll happen for any new releases. It's possible for movies where the extended/director's cut has already been released on SD but even that won't be a guarantee. But for any new movie, they'll sell the theatrical cut first and then sell the long version later on.

I haven't even jumped into HD yet. I'm still holding out a little longer.

Of course this will happen. A new format and high resolution will most definitely motivate the studios to stop encouraging buyers to multi-dip and increase their profits.

I'd much rather have the Theatrical cut and Dir. cut on the same HD DVD then have the HD & SD on the same DVD
