Anyone want to take bets ....

... on the first multi-disc Blu-Ray or HD-DVD non-TV set?

My bet's on "Terminator 2". We still need the Super-Duper Ultra Extreme Edition...

... on the first TV product for either Blu-Ray or HD-DVD?

My bet's on "24" from Fox....

Re: Anyone want to take bets ....

I'd bet HBO will release The Sopranos before any other shows come out. I also think TV shows will take a loooooooong time to actually come out in any serious quantity.

And shouldn't there not even be a multi disc sets? Unless there's an insane amount of extras. Or if they just want you to think that you're getting more for the price they'll charge.

Given we're talking Sony/Columbia, that one's a given. A massive back catalogue, and all they can do is rerelease the same tired titles again and again.

Re: Anyone want to take bets ....

A double-dip is different than a multi-disc set... however, my guess is that T2 will be the first multi-disc set, and if so, then it will be double-dip if they do in fact release it soon as announced.

Re: Anyone want to take bets ....

If not Green Mile my guess would be either King Kong or the LOTR trilogy (if it appears). Since Paramount has announced they'll release on HD-DVD as well as BD, I'm really hoping for Titanic!!!

I prefer not to push the subwoofers until they\'re properly run in.

Re: Anyone want to take bets ....

suprised that Batman Begins wouldn't be a 2 disc set.

Looking forward to The Searchers in June- hope the catalog shuffling doesn't push that one back too far.
