Don't have HD-DVD player hooked up to internet. Firmware problem?

Not being hooked up to the internet, is that going to cause any problems regarding firmware updates and operation?

No, you can just download firmware updates from the manufacturer's Web site and burn it to disc. There should be instructions in your owners manual on how to do this.
