The guy's probably worried about how long his job will last. He might know already.
Have to admit, at that price the player and a stack of cheap disks are like buying the same disks in Blu.
If the player lasts 2-3 years or more and you have films you'll watch 4-5 or more times, what's to loose?
Any one invested in red would be nuts to ditch the player and media.
