Is that Gizmodo "reviewer's" penultimate sentence accurate?

My understanding is that features like "Liar's Dice" crashed or stalled machines because players are not fully-compliant with BD Profile 1.1. If a player doesn't have the requisite amount of persistent/flash memory, that's not something that gets remedied/added via a firmware upgrade. |

So has anyone heard any further word as to when this player will be released? Any new information at all?
Yamaha rx-v1800 receiver,Epson 1080 Home Cinema projector, 150" screen, Playstation 3, Denon 3930 dvd player, Dish Network.

I heard before Christmas but you know how new equipment releases can get delayed.
Lets hope it will release on time. I really am looking forward to receiving mine that I pre-ordered.

Similar price and rebate over at PC/Mac Mall. Never ordered from Onsale and have been very pleased with PC/Mac Mall, so I have a pre-order there. Still trying to get definitive word of a release date from Samsung, but I've started to hear mid-Nov. These are not horse's mouth sources, so until I hear from Samsung directly, a December release is most likely.

Just preordered mine at Best Buy's website for $799. Even though it tells me it will arrive between 11/7 and 11/20, I have a feeling it may be later than that.

Wow, I am starting to get excited now that this is being listed, this looks to be well worth waiting for!! HQV and both formats? 7.1 outputs? This should be awesome!

Does anyone know this: My receiver is about 6 years old so there is no HDMI on it. If I were to play a movie with Dolby True HD or DTS HD or DTS Master, will this player decode that and send the signal out through the 7.1 analog outputs? Because my receiver does have 7.1 inputs for an external source. I sure hope so. There was one web site that said it would, according to a Samsung Rep he talked too, but I am wondering if this is even possible? I had heard it can send Dolby True but wasn't sure about DTS Master.
