Don't be A Guinea Pig...read these forums..

In light of the recent firmware update 2.1.. There have been reported problems..don't suffer the the wrath if you don't need to..IF you do you will have to wait in hopes the next possible update will solve your problems..
many people waited for this 2.1 update hoping to fix their current problems not to actually gain any more features..

2.1 to me is an update intended to fix past problems..

i realize there are issues with hdmi - dvi i hope you guys are reading this informative posts in these forums..

good luck

2.1 upgrade worked great for me and operation seems to be a lot smoother in intensive discs like King Kong, Fast and the Furious Tokyo Drift, NIN, etc.

Re: Don't be A Guinea Pig...read these forums..

same for me Pete. The Nine inch nails hd dvd was such a disappointment due to the audio dropouts. i was at the WITH TEETH concert 3 times last year. It is by far my most treasured HD DVD I can say that now because with 2.1 it has corrected the dropouts.

I waited until i had this dvd to update to 2.0 for the TRU HD audio. Thats when i ran into all the problems.. I feel fortunate however that i didn't do the 2.0 update as early as some people. it was a long enough wait till it was corrected with 2.1

so i hope my fellow forum members continue to question themselves before they update, especially with all the HDMI > DVI problems. I would hate for these guys to have to wait for another firmware update to correct a 2.1 caused problem.. like we had to wait for the 2.1 to correct our 2.0 problems..... ugh..

2.1 2.0 2.2 to many 22222222222222222222 ' s

**good luck to all who updated****
