Do you still have the low LFE problem if you hook it up via HDMI?

It's well known that the problem is widespread via analog connections, what about HDMI? I have my XA2 connected via HDMI for video only, audio is analogs. I'm wondering if I should upgrade to an HDMI receiver.

Thanks,

Isn't this an issue in the receiver and not the DVD player? Some receivers boost the LFE +10db and others don't when hooked up via HDMI. There is a thread about this over at AVS about this,
