Problem with updating Panny to 1.4

After much trouble, I finally burned a CD of 1.4 and put it into my newly received Panny BD player. It did its power down thing and has since displayed what looks to be "LD FW" ever since. It's been about 30 min. Not sure if it is stuck or what. Instructions say it shouldn't take more than 15 min and don't power down or pull plug. What should I do?

Geez, is this forum dead or what? Not everyone respond at once.
Well, I ended up just unplugging it because it was stuck trying to do the update. I waited a couple minutes and plugged it back in. It then displayed a different message that it was updating. About 12 minutes later, it ejected and shut off and displayed "finish". Okay I thought. Not sure why it locked up when I first put the CD in.
Turned it on and checked the firmware...1.4!!
Wow, am I loving it. Put in the free Eight Below and uncompressed sound is unreal.

Glad you got it working. Was that you posting on AVS with the same problem?

I was THIS close to buying a lightly used unit on ebay today, but it was getting almost to the price I could get it new at ValueElectronics so I resisted. Next time the price drops I could find it hard to resist. But I really want to hear a US announcement about their next player.

yes, that was me. Not much response there.
I looked at ebay too and you are right - I just ended up biting the bullet and getting it from Robert.
