Is it the same DACs...?
I'm aware that the HD-a1 and Hd-xa1 are fab sounding for analog CD playback.
Curious if the HD-a2 is as good. I know it doesn't have the 5.1 analog audio outs but AFAIK it does have 2 channel (L,R) analog out.

Anyone? The 3 free disc offer ends tomorrow so I am right on the fence.
I need really good analog out CD playback for a mastering project I am about to start and figured, why just get a good CD player if I can also get HDdvd playback.

Thanks Alon, but I have actually read that before. I know why the original Toshibas are considered so good. I just would like to know if the new Hd-a2 is as good, lack of double chasis compared to the hd-xa1 notwithstanding.
I think they have the same SHARC processors in them, just wanted to ask if anyone knows if there's any difference.
