Digital Video Essentials, HD DVD version: Nov 14th - DELAYED, but worked on hard

A HD version of the Digital Video Essentials was announced e.g. here to be released on November 14th.

It's a HD DVD hybrid - a typical case where I think a hybrid makes sense, actually!

(No, I haven't seen a BD version yet.)

Great news, and cheaper than the DVHS version I almost bought...

I will then be only a colorimeter away from being able to calibrate my TV!

FWIW, BestPrices currently appears to have... the Best Price on this title, pre-ordered it using the Google promo running right now ($10 off $30) and Google Checkout (along with another title to get the total over $30 for the coupon) for just under $17 (average of the 2 same-priced titles) including shipping....

Don't they charge like $10 for shipping (for 2 titles)?

Nope. $5.96 for 2 discs (slightly higher than the usual $3.97 for 2 titles, apparently because DVE is a pre-order -- weird). Besides, like I said, it was $17 (actually $16.97) per title *including shipping*.... Just trying to help.

Here's the weird part: pre-order DVE with either King Kong or The Grinch and shipping is close to $10. But if I pre-order DVE with 12 Monkeys, shipping is close to $6. WEIRD!
