Er, what exactly is 1080p?

Sorry for what must be an idiot question in these parts. But I have only started seeing this trem come up in posts recently as I have been perusing the HD forums. What can I say? Yer looking at a guy who's got one of those ancient Pioneer SD-533HD5 sets! I don't even have an HDMI connection!

Which leads me to another question, does anyone know of a DVD upscaling player that uses component, or do they all use HDMI connections?

Ric

Oops, nevermind about the first question. Wikipedia is my friend.

Ric,

I actually contributed lots of content to that Wikipedia blurb about 1080p!

Thanbks David! Y'know I thought I did post the actual link, but turned out it was just the home page. Maybe someone else will have better luck.
