Bought the X-box to play Halo, but haven't used it since I beat the game. Package includes:

Well I got screwed out of this deal. I of course was the 1st to say I would take it. seller said he would get back to me with a shipping quote the next day so i could send him the money. Well somehow supposely he mixed up e-mails and sold to someone else which I'm sure offered him a few extra bucks for it.

I'm done with this site for buying stuff this is the 3rd time this crap happened to me and nothing is ever done to these people. You see a set price and say you'll take it but I knew that I would get screwed as the price was to low and someone would give him an extra $10 or $20 for it or whatever. I apologize if I'm wrong but I sell stuff all the time and I never have a problem with Mixed up e-mails on who buys from me. I always thought you honor your 1st commitment, but I guess not here.

Not going to retaliate with harsh words, but there were several inquiries about this sale (including more than one "Steve". I sent an e-mail with pics and the buyer responded with an e-mail indicating he was interested, an a MO had been sent.

Steve, you were the first person to post here at HTF, but NOT the first person to send me an e-mail. I also indicated that if the buyer backed out, I would sell you the entire package and pay the shipping costs myself, because you felt that I indicated it was sold to you.

If it makes you feel better, I just lost a sale over at A-gon (buyer backed out of the deal), for a product 8x's the x-box.

Thats my problem. He did not send you an e-mail before me and your response to me after I e-mailed you and said "I'll take it and to give me a shipping quote to my zip so I could send you payment" was "Let me get a shipping quote tommorrow after I double box it at work and I will send you the total"

Right there the sale should have been PENDING! Any e-mail after that should have said SALE PENDING! Now if you had a sale pending before me in an e-mail received you should have told me SALE PENDING. But I know who you sold it to and like I said he responded after me and Joe so somethings wrong with this process.

Sorry to hear you got screwed on Audiogon but then you should understand how I feel then.

The quote above is paraphrased from what I indicated (just like I did to the guy I sold it to) that I would try to find a box at work that was large enough to double box the order, and that shipping to PA would be minimal. Never did I send you my info for the MO, nor did I say that the unit was yours. Nor did I say I sold it someone on this borad. The "other" steve on this borad didn't get the x-box, nor did Joe. Also, I didn't get any more money than I asked for in the price above.

Let it go man, it is just a kids toy!

You don't get it. There has to be some organization on the buying and selling on this forum if not no one will ever buy and sell on here. I will definately not look to purchase anymore. 3 Strikes and I'm out. Rules and Reg's would be nice by the Moderator's of this Forum on proper etiquette on Selling also.


My question to you Robert is if you had a prior e-mail stating that they were buying the Xbox then why wouldn't you tell me there is a sale pending. That way I would have purchased the other one I was looking to buy.

You need to work on communications skills because you obviously knew that you had another buyer after I contacted you or did you just flip a coin on who you were going to sell to.

I always honor the 1st commitment that is posted on the Forum Thread when I sell and think this should be the way the Buy and Sell Forum should work.
