Rather than using the receiver to run the surround back channels of my AVR 8000, Ive decided it would be much easier to purchase a two channel amp instead.
What you get is a reliable, warm sounding reciever that was the flagship prior to the 7000, my 8000 and now the 7200. It is kind of bare bones compared to newer recievers,(no PL2, DTS neo, or L7) but does have the two most important things, DD and DTS. It has two digital inputs and was rated 65X5. Nice receiver for those who dont need all of the new bells and whistles but just want a solid, nice sounding receiver. Paid $1070.00 a hair over three years ago. Asking 150.00 plus shipping.
