I know not how, but the nice HTF green-door house ShortCut icon has reverted to generic Explorer on my desktop. I use IE6.
Starting from scratch (HTF saved in Favorites) what steps are needed to get the HTF green icon back on my desktop. (I dont do this IE manuever everyday, so the "steps" are long forgotten).
edit: using Cut/Paste from Favorites list I got HTF back on desktop but it's still generic E for Explorer.
sigh, i can live with this...in the grand scheme of things

Right click on the paticular favorite and then select properties. Theres an option there to change icon. You can browse for more icons.

Darren, I stumbled upon that generic icon button, but I recall that Parker said this vB or whatever is enabled to produce the actual little house w/ green door. That's what I want.
I think the issue may lie with manipulating the InternetExplorer; for example, on my list of Favorites, some websites stick w/ that site's logo, others just the generic E. And sometimes after recycling the computer, these logos disappear to be replaced with "E".

Bill, I've sent you an email about this. Let me know if it works.
Darren.

Hi guys! I am reviving this thread because I have a similar problem, plus a secondary question.
First, I have also lost the HTF icon in my IE favorites. I have tried to add the HTF homepage to my favorites list again, but with no luck. I still just get the generic IE logo.
Secondly, is there a way for me to get the HTF logo on my desktop to use as a shortcut?
Thanks for any help.

Mike...I can help you with getting a (generic) HTF shortcut on your desktop: just click on favorites, then drag your HTF icon onto your desktop. You'll have to make your window small in order to expose part of your desktop first.
As for getting the HTF house there...I don't know. I'd like some help with this myself.

Thanks Jon! But I had gotten that far!
I even got a small version of the house (from the upper left of the home page) on my desktop. It doesn't DO anything...but there it sits!
I'll bet Parker will come to the rescue!

Well, Mike, I dragged my HTF favorite onto my desktop, and there sits the little house icon. It works, too. I've shut down and re-booted the PC a few times, and it's still there.
One day, when I'm not looking, the little house will vanish. And I'll be left with nothing to say but WTF??

Jon: Do you have the little house icon show up on your IE favorites? Mine is gone. So, when I drag the IE favorite onto my desktop I get the generic IE icon as my shortcut.
Congratulations to you!
