I think it would be nice if there were some sort of portable audio forum. I think it would make more sense to have one forum for devices like the iPod, the Creative players, and all the other ones, rather than have iPod discussion somewhat buried in the Apple/Mac forum and other discussions somewhere else.

all sorts of portable devices including GPS units and such?

I think it would be best to keep other gadgets separate, as there is basically an endless number of things that could be included... PDAs, GPS units, smart phones, cell phones, etc.

My idea was for a forum focusing on portable audio and video (similar to the car audio/video forum), and related accessories, such as headphones and external portable amps. It's a big group of items already, so I wouldn't want to clump too much in!

Edit: I had a longer post I reedited into this one, where I basically changed my mind about what I thought about including other devices.
