HTF Primer/FAQ MIA
Hey, Parker!
The HTF Primer/FAQ button located on certain index pages (such as HT Software-Film/Documentary) appears to be mis-linked. The main HTF index page pops up instead.
There is a new member who is posting a number of questions about AVIA and basic speaker questions and I was hoping to direct him to the Primer.
Thanks.
There's Jessie the yodeling cowgirl. Bullseye, he's Woody's horse. Pete the old prospector. And, Woody, the man himself. Of course, it's time for Woody's RoundUp. He's the very best! He's the rootinest, tootinest cowboy in the wild, wild west!

Just send him to one of my posts.
Actually, the FAQ itself needs a major overhaul. It's not just a matter of updating content (which it certainly needs), but also the links in the first post that were designed to simplify navigation all need to be updated. When HTF migrated to the current software version every existing link got broken. Parker keeps fixing them as he goes along, but the FAQ is a whole other undertaking.

Thanks, Michael. In the meantime, I happened upon an old "Test" post
which has the text of Vince's section of the Primer on calibration discs. I referred the member to it as I believe it was cleaned up pretty nicely and contains fairly current information.
I understand about the problems with the links int he original format...but I would believe there is still a lot of useful information in the text of that document.

Re: HTF Primer/FAQ MIA
Hey! I just clicked on the link in your sig and it worked!
EDIT** Oh. I see. The link to the main Primer page works...but the subsequent links to the various articles still don't.

Re: HTF Primer/FAQ MIA
Yeah, I've had the FAQ links in my sig since Vince first created the FAQ. Updating my sig when we moved was very easy; updating Vince's table of contents would be major (and that's not the only thread that needs it). Any volunteers?

Re: HTF Primer/FAQ MIA
Mike:
Why don't you send me a copy of the FAQ as it stands today, I will create a specific page for it and anything updates need to be made to it just let me know and I will change the content.
BTW, do you see the button link or link itself anywhere other than the Film/Documentary area?
Parker
