Portal Page "too big"

Something on the portal page is causing me to have to scroll horizontally to see the whole page.

I don't know if its the banner promoting the DVD reviews posted just under the HomeMediaNews box...but it might be.

There's Jessie the yodeling cowgirl. Bullseye, he's Woody's horse. Pete the old prospector. And, Woody, the man himself. Of course, it's time for Woody's RoundUp. He's the very best! He's the rootinest, tootinest cowboy in the wild, wild west!

Re: Portal Page "too big"

Mike,

It may very well be that. I'm going to size it down.

Thanks for bringing it to our attention!

Mike,

I just did a revamp on those banners and sized down the one on the portal
page. Let me know if it's any better.

Re: Portal Page "too big"

Ron/Parker:

It has happened again. The portal page is showing up as "too large" on both my home and work PCs (running XP and Firefox 2.0.0.6).

The entire right-hand column (including sponsor ads and the "latest reviews" listing) is off-screen and I have to horizontally scroll to see it.

No guesses from me as to what the culprit might be this time.

All other pages view just fine.

At home, a Micron CRT 17" and, at work an IBM LCD 17".

Hard to tell this time. The only boxes which span across the full page are the one near the top (just below the logo) that includes the "welcome" and "top 30 posts"....and everything on the bottom (that's under the "Industry News" box on the right-hand side of the screen).

When I am scrolled all the way to the left, the very edge of a number of boxes is just visible to the left of the vertical scrolling bar. The boxes I'm talking about include most of the ones that fall down the middle of the page: Forum Jump, Home MEdia Retailing, Our Sponsors, HTF Covers Cepedia 2007, etc.

It is the column of boxes such as: Our Sponsors and Latest Reviews which are just hidden from view.

Hope that is some help.

Here ya go! I'm also e-mailing them to you (in case these on-line images don't cut it). If there are different parts of the Portal Page you'd like to see from my "perspective", just LMK.

Scrolled to the left:

Re: Portal Page "too big"

With the white skin, the portal page still is out-of-whack due to my limited resolution (1024 by 768).

On the blue skin, everything is fine, EXCEPT for the HomeMediaRetailing box. See below.
