Well...I first saw at the bottom of thread pages (only in threads that I've started) these little boxes that simply said Tags: __________

Now, when I came here to ask what they were...I see an extra box under the "Title" box on the "Post New Thread" page that also asks for Tags:...but includes the following line:

Separate tags with commas. Tags are keywords that describe the thread.

Are we supposed to add tags to make threads easier to find in the search function?

I just clicked the New Thread button to see what you were talking about and I don't see anything about tags. Was it just a temporary thing/forum bug?

Maybe. They were there for a couple of days...but do now appear to be gone.

I decided to take the tags on the forum pages and in the threads out as it was slowing down the site. In the top toolbar there is a link called Tags that will take you to the Main Tag Cloud that will list tags from the whole forum. Click on the links in the cloud and it will take you to similar threads along the same line as the orginal thread.
