Re: Report all forum software problems in this thread ONLY. Thank You!

Just another observation: I just tried to view HTF on Safari 3.0.3 on Windows (XP SP2 on my MBP via bootcamp so it's a "real Windows environment" not vir\0tualized), and I still have a "back button" problem.

But instead of taking me out of HTF, it will go some random number of pages back. For example I surfed around to 3-4 pages deep into HTF, and when I hit back, it took me to the User logon page which was 3-4 pages ago.

I randomly navigate around and the back button seems to take me to some arbitrary HTF page several click ago, but never to the one immediately preceding the page I'm on.

So I think it's safe to conclude this is a Safari/HTF issue (regardless of Mac/Win platform). Not surprising given that Safari 3 is still a beta. Hopefully Apple addresses this by the time Leopard's released. Otherwise I'm going to have to use Firefox as my browser of choice.

Does this problem with Safari work with both the white and blue skins? Or is this something that you have noticed with just the blue skin?

I tried with both skins. Still can't do the back button and the reload button won't work for me.

However, as I mentioned in the past, it's real inconsistant. At one point, I was on the 10th page of the Transformers thread in the HD area and it loaded fully and the reload button worked and I was able to hit the back button and come back this page after jumping around to other pages that don't properly load. But if I go to that same page directly, the reload and back button don't work.

All the links under "Miscellaneous" (except "Links Page") also give me a "404 Not Found" error.
On the home page, I am still getting the 404 messages for everything except the first entry at the top.

Thanks!

Re: Report all forum software problems in this thread ONLY. Thank You!

When I open HTF while on MSN, the home page opens for a few seconds, then I get a navigation error "Navigation to the webpage was canceled" on a new page. If I click on forums before the error it will redirect me to the forum page then the error shows up again. I am using an address which is stored in my favorites and has worked until recently.
If I open internet explorer, using the same address, I have no problem.
Any ideas on how to fix this.
Thanks,
Dan

Which links are those that are giving you the 404 error?

I don't have MSN to try this out. It should work the same as IE.

Parker,

There are 12 total links on the drop-down menu. The drop-down menus #2-11 give me the 404 error.

Link #1: Today's Post
Link #12: Links Page

Both of these work. All the ones in between do not.

Keith:

I'm sorry. I just am not seeing what you are. What skin are you using? If I use the white skin I get 10 links and they all work. I do not see one for "Links Page". If I use the Blue Skin I get 16 different links in the pull down menu. I don't get a "Links Page" in there either. You are talking about the Quick Links pull down menu aren't you?
