Due to the large number of posts over the years we have started an archive of all the posts and threads to the forum. The past 3 years worth of posts and threads will still be here on this forum. The archive is read only and has its own search page.

To go to the archive click on the blue button in the button bar or bookmark this link. If you use forum the toolbar for IE or Firefox a link has been made to the archive until the Misc. pulldown menu.

Hi, the search function in the archive appears to be broken, rendering the archives essentially useless. Unless I am doing something wrong.

The search function works! Use the one from Google, but select "HTF Archive" instead of "Web".

It isn't the last word at all. I have to agree with Mr. Holadem. The search function is crappy from the get-go or it's just plain "broke". Even when I enter the exact title of a thread---usually one which I started, so I know it existed at one time---I get sent to sometimes a whole slew of pages that I have to wade through to find what I'm looking for (if it can even be found at all). And, if I don't have something exact, heaven help me. Most of the time I just give up here and do the search on the general Google web search page. I almost get better results for anything that's not straightforward.

The search function uses the search within MySQL as many of the vBulletin sites use. I personally don't have that big of an issue with the built in search not working as it should but when it doesn't I know that the Google search will render what I was looking for. That is why I added the Google search to use in addition to the built in search.
