Hey John!
If you want a photo or graphic in your sig (like in mine)...you do that in the signature section of the "sig & photo" area. You are in exactly the right place.
What you need to do is upload the desired photo to a place which will host it...and then put the URL of where the picture is located inside [ img ][ /img ] tags. I included spaces inside the brackets so that they would appear in the text. When you use them, you will need to type them without the spaces.
If you don't have a place to host your photo...I heartily recommend photobucket.com. They are FREE and easy-to-use.

P.S. Make sure you follow the size restrictions on the image as set forth in the left-hand column of the "sig & photo" section! The mods are strict about that sort of thing!
