After promising myself I'd do it last year and not being able to make it due to the recent promotion I took, I'm looking to do the HTF cruise this year. Is it too early for information to become available?? Last year I seem to recall information being out in January, whereas this year I haven't seen anything.

Can someone provide me a link??

The first cruise was loads of fun, highly recommended. However, there were only a few of us HTFers, most of the attendees got to the cruise through fellow sponsor AVSForum. Also, I'd say that at least half of the people on the HT cruise were dealers or manufacturers reps. Hobbyists were the minority. It ended up being an industry conference, with many people writing it off as a business expense. That didn't make it any less fun, I assure you.

Remember, we have an official HTF West Coast meet coming up in September. There will be no further cruises involving AVS Forum. As for what is being planned, I'd prefer that Ron speak on that.

Hi, Paul!

We will no longer be part of the HT Cruise.

I would not expect many HTF members to be part of
their itinerary next year either. If you are
considering attending all I can tell you is that
it's a fun experience, though as pointed out, more
of a manufacturer's write-off than a hobbyists event.

We are strongly leaning towards doing our own cruise
with another popular forum next year. Will keep you
all up-to-date on that.

In the meantime, perhaps you'd consider joining us
out in Hollywood?

Thanks Ron! I appreciate the invite. I was actually looking at doing that too. One question I had was that it seemed to be quite limited as far as the number of people that could attend. I never really put much thought into it afterwards, but it definitely interests me, and I have at least one other friend that would love to go too.

How does the "selection process" work?
