When do we normally do "DVD of the Year?" Is there going to be such an event in the Software section this year?

We should.

The problem is "how" and frankly I was getting far
too many different suggestions that I decided to put
it all on the back burner.

Everybody has a different idea how we should nominate.

I'll look at it all again and perhaps next week we
can start a HTF BEST DVD of 2003.

Ron, with Amelie last year being a surprise for many of us. My blind buy was based on your last year's review. And Once Upon a Time of the West being the "gem" of this year. Maybe a HTF Sleeper Hit of the Year ? With LOTR cleaning up the last 3 years and all.

There must be some prestige that goes along with winning "HTF DVD of the Year."

Well, Zen, I hope so.

Actually, the studios should be proud about
any recognition they receive from our membership.

You guys not only represent the consumer market,
but are considered to be the "core" DVD audience.
You are the toughest people to please -- and that's
a good thing. The discriminating tastes of this
membership has helped shape the DVD industry as a
whole.

We decided we could not pass up the opportunity to
let you guys pick your favorite DVDs. Therefore,
expect to see the NOMINATIONS go up tomorrow.
