Where to put questions on camcorders?

I sent someone looking for advice on the various new formats for camcorders to the forum. But then I realize I don't really know which forum is appropriate for camcorder questions. The newer ones use digital on tape or digital on recordable DVD, so should these go into AV sources or digital recorders? Sorry for asking a dumb question. In a few months I may be up for a replacement for my generic 8mm analog camcorder myself.

Hi, Dennis!

I would say the AUDIO/VIDEO SOURCES area is the
place to post.

I got a lot of great advice from there when I was
considering buying a camcorder.

The DV format is the one to consider.

As a rule, even questions about HTiBs or assembling entire systems seem best to fit in A/V Sources.
