This isn't specifically HTF-related, but it addresses a problem that I recently noticed on HTF and AVS Forum using Internet Explorer: On almost every page, one small GIF image failed to display. It only happened with small images, and reloading the page would simply make a different image disappear.
After a bit of research on Google, I found
this helpful page. Specifically, this was the solution to my problem:
Quote:
Open the registry [by running RegEdit] and browse to:
\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\PROTOCOLS\Nam e-Space Handler\
Delete the 'http', 'https' and 'ftp' (leave the 'mk' key)
Restart PC for changes to take effect.

In my case, I had recently installed FTP Voyager, and it added an "ftp" section to this registry entry, apparently to integrate its FTP functionality with IE. When I deleted it from the registry and rebooted, it solved the problem. However, FTP Voyager added it back to the registry whenever it ran, so I uninstalled it, and that fixed it for good.
FTP Voyager isn't the only program that causes this problem. Other people have reported that GetRight adds similar entries to the registry, and I'm sure there are others. It could be caused by any program that hooks into IE to change the way it downloads files.
