White Text?

Some threads are coming up as all-white text (the current "Three Stooges" on in Software, for instance) and I have to highlight everything to read it. It's isolated to just a few threads, but it's repeatable every time. I'm on Mac OS 9 using IE 5.0.

Can you post the link to the threads you are referring to? I don't have this problem on my end using Windows XP with IE 6.0. It may be a Mac/IE issue.

Here's one:

I've been using the same configuration for years (though I am migrating to a new iMac) and this is the first time it's ever shown up.

I don't know what to tell you. I do not have this problem with IE, Netscape or Opera on Windows XP. It has to be an issue with IE on the Mac that I cannot see on my end. Maybe there is a newer version of IE for the Mac that you could get and see if that helps any.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Mark, I also see white text using IE 5.2 on Mac OS 10.2.5.

I see black text using Safari (Apple's web browser).

Well, since it has come up: Same here, Parker—and I'm running Mac O/S 8.9. At least four threads have occurred in the past week that are unreadable for me at home, and I attributed it to my perenniel lack of memory.

In addition to the text being all white, the background colors which are normally white are instead black.

This is really weird as nothing has changed with the software on this end for a long time. I am not sure what would be making the IE version for the Mac to do that.

I wonder if there is a relationship with a particular member using a particular font or something odd like with the spoiler tag or something.
