Ron,

Is there a dress code for this kind of event? What about the evening parties and such? Thank you sir.

It's Vegas & it's July. Temperatures will be in the 100s. Only upper management & exhibitors will be wearing suits. Hawaiian shirts are always popular at the pool parties at VSDA (now EMA) shows. (I base this answer on 2 decades of attending the show.)

Re: Dress code

Black tie is required for the entire show including parties!

Just kidding. I would say to be comfortable, but don't wear your lawn-mowing Tshirt--the one with all the holes, and leave your favorite cutoffs (the ones where the front pockets hang down two inches lower than the denim) at home. Figure there will be A/C cranking inside, but you can fry an egg on the sidewalk outside, so plan for both. I'll personally be wearing shorts and some nicer T-shirts or polo style shirts during the day and Hawaiian style shirts with dockers shorts at night will comfortable tennis shoes!

No Signature...How boring is that!

Re: Dress code

I usually wear T-shirts, but I'd suggest bringing at least one shirt with a collar. There are some places in Vegas that have dress codes, and you never know where you'll end up in the wee hours of the morning.

Re: Dress code

And shoes! I've seen people denied entrance to some swankier night spots 'cause they were wearing sandals or sneakers! But don't worry, no one will be looking at your foot apparel at the EMA events unless you're a hobbit.

Re: Dress code

oh yeah...I better bring some nicer shoes...I would have came with the runners only 'cause they are the most comfortable to walk in all day...but yes, who knows where I'll end up late at night...

Re: Dress code

Any chance we will be somewhere that a jacket will be required? I've never been to the Palms club before.

Re: Dress code

I very much doubt you'll want a jacket for this event. Retailers and other attendees will be dressed casually. You might want it for other venues in Las Vegas.
