Samsung availability?

My trusty 10 year old Toshiba TW65X81 has finally had an internal failure of some sort. Screen went black in the middle of a DVD last night and the power-on lamp won't stop flashing. I have been wanting to upgrade the display for awhile now but it just wasn't smart to do so while it was functioning so well. So, today I start to bring myself up to date on the current crop of displays by doing some preliminary research. I want another rear projection set and for the buck I am impressed with the DLP units. The Samsung HL-T6756W would fit in the custom cabinetry I had constructed years ago so I figured I'd check on its' availability and street pricing. I can't find it anywhere. Tried CC, BB, Vans, Butterfly Photo, Amazon, eBay, etc. Nada. Would someone please explain this to me. Is it too new to be on the sales floor? Or????
Thanks for any information.

Re: Samsung availability?

Looks like you'll need to go to a Costco to find this model.

HL-T6756W DLP TV-televisions SAMSUNG

I put in my zip code, and it only listed Costco stores near me.

BTW, RPTVs are getting to be an extinct species in the TV landscape as more and more manufacturers concentrate on flat panel models (LCDs, Plasmas, etc).

Re: Samsung availability?

Why? Costco has a very liberal return policy.

Re: Samsung availability?

I think Costco now has a 90-day return guarantee, but they do extend the repair warranty an extra year.
