Panasonic Sound problem

I have a Panasonic Th-50PX60U plasma that periodically goes silent after changing the channel. There is no sound, I can still adjust the volume on screen, i.e. it doesn't show that the mute button is on, but no sound. I have tried turning off the power to the DVR cable box to see if it is the source of the problem, but the only thing that fixes it is turning the TV off and back on again.

Sound familiar?

Re: Panasonic Sound problem

I dont know what too tell you. I have had the same TV since XMAS and have had absolutly no issues. I have all audio running through my AV reciever though- if your using the speakers on the tv...might be the tv's audio tuner. Still under warranty?

So far, So good, So what

Re: Panasonic Sound problem

Johnny, I have the same set, Very nice.. at first I had a long **CHEAP**
HDMI Cable and the sound would go on and off and even sometimes the
Video would go black.. Found out that my HDMI was all wrong and had to get a larger (Monster Type Cable) for my 32 foot run, Now all is fine!
That set is very sensitive to longer runs it seems like. do a test and
plug a 6 foot hdmi cable in it and you will see it will work great. the longer
you go the Better built the cable must be I hope this makes since to you.
Good luck
Jeff
