Sharp 52 on Sony 52 LCD

Hey guys, It has been awhile since I posted here as I have been on the road these days. I got a lemon return (Westy 42") at BB and was trying to decide between the Sharp and Sony 52" LCD flat panels. $1000 difference in price and the Sony looked brighter in the store but the Sharp was more natural. I asked the sales women to turn up the brightness on the Sharp and she did not no how. Consequently, I could not even do a crude comparison. LOL
Both great LCDs and both have a reputation for quality in TVs and electronics.
Just did not know if the $1000 would buy be a significantly better product.

Help/ You guys rock

Greetings

If pro calibration is in the future ... or even if you want to get creative ... the Sony is more tweakable than the Sharp. A lot more so.
