Vertical line in the screen!

I have a used sony ke 32ts2u 2002/2003 plasma television, it seemed to work well until now... All of a sudden there is a vertical line on the left hand side of the screen which went away last night, but now it's back! It showeds up after the tv has been on for a while. Could someone plese explain to me what caused this, broken pixels, the gas isn't heating up enough? Could someone please explain what wrong to me? Thank you.

Always on the same channel? Perhaps the picture as broadcast wasn't centered in the allotted space in the video signal and ragged edges are showing.

There may be menu adjustments to increase overscan and push the line off the side. Adjustments like horizontal position or horizontal size.
