projectors & HDDVD quick question

my friend wants to start in on HDDVD.
and also wants to get into projectors.

I'm so lost now, dont know what to tell him.

He basically wants to know.

Projectors can work with HDDVD?
am I correct? as long as the projector has an input for HD.

or would a HDTV be better for viewing HDDVD?

I'm so lost now..please help answering this question.

Thank-you!

Yes, projectors can work with HD-DVD's. He needs to buy a HD projector though to take advantage of HD-DVD's.

There is , of course, no surety that any display (PJ or CRT) that you buy now will be compatible with the DRM that could be applied to next-gen players and PCs. You'll probably be able to watch the content but not necessarily at full resolution.

As long as you have HDCP compliant HDMI or DVI inputs you should be fine.
