I have read many threads over the last few weeks trying to figure out what set to buy.
I was at Tweeters over the weekend and spent some time checking out many sets. I am really starting to lean towards the Samsung 50 inch DLP (HL-R5067W).

I will be using DirecTV service with it. I will be purchasing a HD receiver from DirecTV as well. I will be playing xbox and gamecube games on it, and watching many DVDs.
I'm sure many of you own this set, so I would greatly appreciate any help that you can send my way.
I felt the TV looked great, especially with the HD feed at Tweeters. How is this set when playing games? Is there a delay that would make game playing difficult?
I can get this set for 1800, tax included through my connection.
I noticed the 1080p 50 inch Samsung as well, and was wondering if it is worth the extra money? I have heard that the 1080p set doesn't actually accept 1080p signals, is this true?
