Projector LCDs and Cold temps

I have a 50 inch Sony projector LCD bought recently for a summer home... given the high energy prices, I was thinking of shutting the heat off in the house for the winter (Massachusetts). Of course, I would unplug the TV so that the "instant on" feature is shut off. Question: would deep freeze temps be any problem for such a TV?
LCD screens get deep freeze treatment in cars all the time without issues... but what about these TVs?

it's not desireable, but it should be ok. Really, large temperature changes put stresses physically on anything, but I wouldn't be overly concerned.

A note for readers who may have CRT displays, if they are in a cold place and brought in or warmed, let it come to room temperature for a day as when you first bring it in from the cold condensation can gather inside and elicit HV arcs which can nuke components inside the set.
