It's somewhat flexible but we'd like to keep it under 10k, which surprisingly enough is only a bit over twice what standard/boring static backlit menus would cost to get custom made. Either that or a chalk board I guess.
We're putting a strong focus on atmosphere in this restaurant, and we want to give people something to talk about
: dynamic flat panel menus will definitely give people something to talk about - especially when we get to animating them (just simple animations in the graphics/picture areas). Automatic menu updates (our menu is going to be changing quite a bit on a daily basis), and even adjustable based on inventory levels which our registers/server track in real time.
