Opinions on Samsung's tubes?
Greetings,
I am in the process of researching and saving for my first HDTV purchase. Given my current circumstances, it will be a direct-view set of some stripe, in the 26"-30" widescreen range.
Looking at the options available, Samsung's HD tubes look appealing; reasonably priced, good connectivity options, and almost all with built-in HD tuners (a must for me). However, I have no experience with the brand myself, and was curious what those more knowledgeable than myself thought. Are they well-constructed? I've seen reviews indicating that at least some of their models have weak power supplies. Would I be better served holding out for something higher-end, like the Sony KD-30XS955, or would that be an unnecessary expenditure?
