Service Menu (RPTV)
I have an older model (1995) Philips Magnavox rear projection tv. The picture is fine except for some blue and green tinting on the border of objects and text, particularly white objects or text. I have adjusted the calibration via the normal menu adjustment with no success of completely eliminating the border tinting. I would like to know if there are any resources on how to access service menus to adjust this and if it would even be wise for me to do so. I would also like to know if the original remote is required to access the service menu as I only have a universal remote to operate the tv. I just hate the thought of having to pay someone else to come over and make a 5 minute adjustment that I could do myself. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
