hey guys, good morning....here goes:
do I calibrate my Samsung TXM 3096 (sp?) for each INPUT (i.e. s-video/component, composite/etc) , or is it by each "scan rate" (perhaps the wrong term-I mean to say 480i/480p/1080i etc.)
I am wondering because often SD television just looks awful (direct tv BTW), & realized that I only have given it the Avia treatment through the component inputs via the DVD player, but (& this is a BIG but) I am running my DVD player in interlaced mode right now for various reasons-despite this, I'm fairly happy w/ the DVD pic quality, save for the notorious Samsung vertical "shadow bars" common on these sets...
basically, should I also calibrate the TV w/ the DVD player hooked up to the S-Video in to calibrate for SD tv? i would just do it, but it is an absolute NIGHTMARE to get to the back of my gear

...thx in advance!
