Zenith C27V36 27" HDTV, good deal or not?

I went to my local Circuit City today and found this TV as an open box item. I knew the guy helping me and he told me that it was a display item for about 4 months. It hasn't been to service or anything so he said it's in good,(I know him well and trust him)working condition. The normal price for it was around $550 and the open box item was priced at $460. Is this a good deal or no? And is it a decent TV?

I know it has the Faroudja DCDI chip and has all the inputs and outputs I need including a DVI input. I assume it's a good TV????????????

Can anyone help me on this? I'm not too familiar with this TV or whether or not it being on display that long will hurt it.

I have had this unit for about 6 months and really like it.
I think at that price it is a good deal. If anything being on display will let you know if it was going to have any initial "bugs" that would require service. I have seen this unit at my local CC as a display for 399.

There are several pros and cons to this set though.

Pros

1 great picture on comp inputs for dvd.
2 HDTV ready
3 Low price.
4 Large number of inputs.

Cons

1 The speaker buzz issue, many of the sets have a buzz in
weather you are using the internal speakers or not.
Seems to be a problem related to a power supply that is
too close to the speaker section.

2 Overall build quality might be in question because of
the above issue and the low cost. I guess time will tell
on this.

Bottom line is I felt like I have a very high quality picture for a low price. I may regret this purchase a year or two down the road and think it is a piece of junk. But so far I love this set.

Fairly sure my CC is selling that unit new for around $400.

But if it were me, I'd get the 32".

Too bad it won't fit in my EC.

I would not spend money on an open-box display -- especially one that has been on the showroom floor blazing in torch mode for four months. The picture tube may already be permanently ruined. Only buy fresh out-of-the-shipping-carton TV sets.
