Confused...51" TV

Hi all,

I'm contemplating between the DLP (51") and the LCD (50") offered by Sony as a starting block towards my home theater system. I've read mixed reviews about both the following Sony models,
50" Grand WEGA™ LCD Rear Projection TV
KF-50WE610

Sony - 51" Widescreen HD-Ready Rear-Projection TV w/ DVI Input & 2-Tuner PIP
KP-51WS510

...on this forum and some others, but I still haven't got a conclusive list of pros and cons. Could some experts help me out here with feedback regarding these models and the one that delivers more bang for the buck? Both are priced around $2500-3000 mark....Thx for your help!

I think your a little confused....

the KF-50WE610 is LED Rear Projection (DLP) - $3000
the KP-51WS510 is CRT Rear Projection - $1600


So the differences are so drastic on the most basic technology aspect of HDTV products.
