im down to 2 lcd tvs. which one should i buy?

Hi. I'm new to this forum and hope you guys can help me out. I'm looking to buy a widescreen lcd tv. Plasma is just too expensive. I was originally going to purchase the Panasonic 50lc13, but it's on backorder for 2 months. While I had my heart set on this tv, I really don't want to wait. I was going to buy the tv from sears so the guy showed me the Hitachi 50v500. I've never bought Hitachi before and don't know much about this tv. I've read some good reviews for the panasonic. I was getting the panasonic for $2500 so I really wanna stay in that area. What do you guys recommend? Should I hold out for the panasonic? Should I get the hitachi or get something different? Anyone have these tv's? Any info is greatly appreciated and I look forward to sticking around. Take care.

You can find many threads at the link below. I'd go with hitachi over panny anyday. From what i've heard and read, Hitachi makes very good rptv's.

I just bought the new Sony. Why did you narrow it down to the Hitachi and Panasonic?
