Hi!
I just bought a Sony Wega 32HS510 direct-view crt, and I was hoping to ask a few questions...
I calibrated it with Avia. I noticed the red push everyone was talking about, and searching through these forums as much as I could, I ended up correcting it by adjusting the RYR from 8 to 11... (I couldn't find an AXIS control) Was this the proper way to do it? Grey still seems normal to me... (although reds look washed out to me now, I guess I just have to get used to not having red push)
Also, do I need to worry about SVM on this TV? I tried the checkerboard 1.0 IRE pattern, it seemed that if anything, the white squares touch a little more than the black squares do, but mostly everything looks fine...
Also, I've heard you can adjust white level, black level, sharpness, hue/sat etc in the service menu, so that the default settings are correct, which items are those?
If anyone else has had any experience with this TV, I'd love to hear from you. Thanks!
