I'm very confused - and bear in mind that this is PAL I'm talking about.
OK - I've got a JVC 100HZ TV (28X37HKE) and it says on the website (and the trader agreed) that the TV plays NTSC discs in progressive scan.
However, I can't see any reference to this in the manual and I'm not sure I see any great difference between my PAL discs and my NTSC discs.
The TV has various settings like Digi Pure Pro and Movie Theater function - I'm presuming the latter might be it but it doesn't seem to make much difference whether it's on or off. It also seems to be designed for PAL discs and warns that the motion may look "unnatural" when viewing images with the NTSC colour system.Which seems a bit self-defeating.
It supports NTSC 3.58 AND 4.43 if that's of any relevance ( what's the difference ?)
How do I know if the TV is actually converting the image ?
What should I be looking for ? Can anyone help without being too mind-bogglingly technical ?
Thanks
