Problem with Panny 300

I've got a PT-AE300 and it's got a green spot (haze) on the left hand side of the screen about the size of a tennis ball and is only visible on a totally black sceen.
I've seen a problem like this before on the forum but I can't find the threads.

Seems like a dust blob from your description. If so, is the unit under warranty still? You can send it in to get the LCD panels cleaned. Some of us have cleaned the panels ourselves but you may want to pursue the former avenue first.
