Office XP and Vista

Will I be able to use my Office XP on the Microsoft Vista Operating System?

Re: Office XP and Vista

I don't have specific experience with that version of office on that version of windows, but traditionally, new Microsoft operating systems do just fine running older versions of office. After all, Microsoft would have strong motivation to make sure they work together, or they'd risk having one flagship product sink another.

Re: Office XP and Vista

Yes and no. I had Office XP Pro. Everything worked fine except for Outlook XP. Outlook XP will run under Vista, but what happens is that no matter what you do it will not save your email password. So everytime you start the program you have to manually type in the password.

I just ended up keeping the rest of Office XP and buying Outlook 2007. All in all, I'm satisfied because Outlook 2007 looks great and I was able to get it for only $49.00 by buying the education version under my son's name. And you can install it on both a desktop and laptop per the license.
