Yesterday my Microsoft Word started doing something inexplicable: When I hit the Enter key, instead of the cursor going down one line, it jumps three or four at a time.
Then I noticed the same thing happening in Publisher. In fact, anywhere I type text (including in this New Thread window), hitting Enter drops me
down several lines.
Here's what else is weird: It drops one line first, as it should, then hesitates a split second before going down a few more.
What's more, it's inconsistent: sometimes it's two lines, other times three or four. And it does not do it every time, probably 80 - 90 % of the time.
Some wacky virus, maybe?

I re-booted and all seems to be well.
