A double arrow like that usually refers to "offline files" which generates local copies of those locations for use if the network is inaccessible. Normally this is used with laptops, but the setting is on by default.
- Save and close any documents in those locations you might have open.
- Open up an explorer window. (I.e. My Computer)
- Choose Tools>Folder Options
- Switch to the Offline Files tab and remove the check under "Enable offline files'
You might get a warning that files are in use. As long as you have saved and exited all your applications you'll be fine.
