HTML help

Hey all,

I want to post an exclusive interview we did with a famous 80's voice actor on my website, but I don't want another site(either big or small) to save it. How do I disable the 'right click save as' feature so peopel can't download it, and is there anything else I can do?

I'd put a disclaimer in the audio, but people can easily edit that out.

Thanks!

impossible.. even streaming audio can be recorded. :\

disable right-click will stop the average user but anyone web-savvy can nab it. If you don't want something copied you shouldn't put it on a public web site.

Best bet is to leave your disclaimer on it, and if you notice it posted & edited elsewhere without permission you have the right to legally threaten (and take action) against the evil-doer

Yep. Scott is correct.

Don't put the disclaimer as a discrete time segment in the audio track - do a voiceover type disclaimer every so often while the interviewer or actor is talking. That way it's harder to edit out, and easier to identify when it is..

Yeah, disabling right-click, is just as effective as a "Beware of Dog" sign.

Nothing is foolproof, but there are ways to discourage theft.

I would convert the audio file into a flash file and present it that way.

Again, that's still not foolproof, but it'll discourage most.

But then you couldn't hear what the people are saying.
