Laptop cooling pad help needed please

Hi again, guys! Been awhile.
We finally got cable DSL. (Dont know how we went without so long..) and the Dell is flying except that it still gets hot and slows down now and again. Can anyone reccomend a good inexpensive laptop cooling pad? I have seen anywhere from $10 to $40.

Thanks! d

I can't answer your question (although I am interested in the answer since I'm getting a new Dell notebook next week).

If you delete the extra "\" characters before the single-quotes and double-quotes, your sig will look normal again.

I've had my LPC-301 Notebook Cooler for Several months now. It runs at least 6 hours daily( IBM Laptop) and with this Cooler haven't had any issues with it. Can't remember which "On-Line" site I got mine from ?
It may be a option for you to look at ?

I like it cause you can vary the Fan Speed !

And Here's a Review of it :

Newegg has them. Looks, um, pretty cool.

OK. So why doesn't the laptop come with adequate cooling? This is not an expensive item, but it appears to take up a USB port and also real estate. Am I missing something? I thought when you bought a system or laptop from Dell (or anybody) cooling was taken care of with the design.
