Windows Explorer Button?

I have searched high and low for a solution for this but have had no luck. So it is time to come to the experts.

I create folders in Windows Explorer frequently. It is a pain to have to click on File then New then Folder. It would be much more efficient to just click a button on the toolbar to create the new folder. Anyone have any thoughts, suggestions or ideas on how to make that happen?

Thanks in advance,

Colin

Which version of Windows are you using? The Windows XP folder sidebar has a "Make a new folder" link (under File and Folder Tasks). I know it's not the same as a button on the toolbar, but it's handy.

Colin:

You can right click on the toolbar and add folders, etc. to it from the pop up menu.

Tweak UI might be able to help you...I haven't used it in a while.

Ken's suggestion works as long as you don't have the folders displayed on the left pane in XP (I think we're all assuming you're using XP).
right click on the toolbar and add folders
I'm not sure what you're referring to...if you're talking about the main Windows taskbar you can add popup menus that point to folders, but there's no option to create folders. There's also no option like this in the Windows Explorer toolbar.

No, you're a genius 'cause you can't make a lamp.

I could care less about trigonometry.
Did you know without trigonometry there would be no engineering?
Without lamps there'd be no light.

If you're going to type a folder name anyway, why not just use the keyboard:

Alt-F
W
F

then type the folder name. (You can actually hold down Alt for all three.)

How about just copy and paste?
